DUPPION
Duppion - also known as Indian silk. I remembered around July last year i was looking for tartan/checker box scarf from fabric store. (Well, I was inspired by e15 fabrics collection) They haven't got any in yet.
So, when i was passing by Tessuti in Surry Hills today, spotted this Duppion @35$ /meter on the window. Half a meter @ 17.50$. I loved it, particularly the waxed texture that gives the silk, a little bit more structure. I decided to post this up when the taxi driver asked me where did i get my scarf from, earlier today - Hilarious.
*the image turned out orangey-er. Supposed to be gunpowder grey with hint of pomegranate -

SUMMER HOURS
So, we had our movie at verona last night. I thought it would be just nice for a relaxing evening without much thinking. Yes, it was, the movie was slow and narrative. A very classy woman, Helene (almost Ms. Wintour lookalike, especially her hair styling) left behind a collection of valuable antiques behind for her children.
The whole movie is about how Helene's children manage her will, after she passed away. The ending was unpredictably quick though, but there was a very subtle message behind it. You should all find out.
